Ocean Terminal car boot sale will return from next weekend as lockdown rules ease

The Ocean Terminal car boot sale will return to the shopping centre from July 26.

The popular event had been cancelled for months due to lockdown, however organisers have been given the green light to set up their stalls once again.

Open every Sunday, the sale usually takes place on Floor F of the car park at Ocean Terminal shopping centre and runs from 7.30am-12.30pm.

Returning from 26 July, the car boot event will now be spread over two different floors of the multi storey car park, allowing for a more spaced out and socially distant experience.

It will also allow for even more sellers to attend than ever before, with the costs of a space sitting at £14 for a car and £25 for a double pitch.

A two metre hight restrictions is still in place for all vehicles, with no trailers allowed.

Ocean Terminal itself reopened to customers on July 13 after nearly four months of lockdown.

The centre has adopted a host of new measures to allow for safe shopping such as one way systems, sanitising stations and face coverings for staff.

As face coverings have now become mandatory in shops, the centre has even unveiled its own bespoke store selling the masks in a variety of colours, designs and styles.
