A MAN accused of exposing himself at a Charlestown shopping centre and intimidating a woman will face court on Thursday after he was arrested in Scott Street earlier this week.
Police said the man would face Newcastle Local Court as a result of an investigation into witness reports a man was seen entering two properties at Hamilton South on Saturday.
"Inquiries revealed the same man had allegedly committed a sexual act at a Newcastle shopping centre later the same day," NSW Police said in a statement.
Inquiries led them to arrest the 45-year-old on Scott Street about 11.30am on Wednesday.
The man was taken to Newcastle Police Station and charged with a range of offences.
They included stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm (personal), wilful and obscene exposure in/near public place/school, enter enclosed land without lawful excuse, enter prescribed premises of any person without lawful excuse, behave in offensive manner in/near public place/school, and intentionally do sexual act with child between 10 and 16-years-old.
Police said they would further allege the man exposed himself at a Charlestown shopping centre in August.
The 45-year-old was refused bail. A man will face court today charged after allegedly trespassing and committing a sexual act in separate incidents in Newcastle at the weekend.
