One of the earliest pieces of Barack Obama's writing, for a Columbia University magazine called Sundial, was just unearthed by Human Events, the conservative website.
The piece, published March 1983, is a fairly standard liberal take for the time on the nuclear freeze movement on campus.

I agree with Ben Smith that one shouldn't be judged on the basis of one's college writings, especially since we know Obama can write, and well. What are your thoughts?
