Obama reveals the books that shaped him in new six-part podcast

Podcast Barack Obama Marilynne Robinson Audible

Barack Obama is launching a new six-part podcast titled A Great Book with Barack Obama exclusively on Audible on 24 September.
The podcast is a collaboration between Audible and Higher Ground, the media company founded by Obama and his wife Michelle.
Each episode will feature Obama discussing one of six books that shaped his worldview alongside an unannounced special guest.
The selected books include literary works by James Baldwin, Toni Morrison, Cormac McCarthy, Marilynne Robinson, Robert Penn Warren, and John le Carré.
Marilynne Robinson’s 2004 novel Gilead is the only book on the list published in the 21st century, with the other five dating from the 20th century.
