Oasis website crashes as fans brace for major 2026 tour announcement

The Oasis rumour mill has gone into overdrive after the band’s official website crashed on Wednesday morning, fuelling speculation that a major tour announcement is imminent.

Fans trying to access oasisinet.com were met with an “Error 44 – access denied” message, with many taking the crash as a sign that something big is about to drop.

The surge of interest comes after days of hints from Liam Gallagher, who has been stoking excitement with a string of cryptic posts on X.

On Tuesday, the frontman shared – and later deleted – a post reading “MMXXV11”. While MMXXV translates to 2025 in Roman numerals, the “11” that followed left fans speculating whether Gallagher was teasing November 2025.

Just hours later, he doubled down on the teasing. Sharing a clip from the classic TV show Grange Hill, Gallagher followed up with: “Big announcement coming soon keep your eyes peeled.”

Minutes later, he added: “Ready” and “Shall I give you another 5 mins,” prompting a flurry of fan theories ranging from new European dates to blockbuster shows at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium or even a return to Knebworth.

Radio presenter Chris Evans also fanned the flames during his Virgin Radio Breakfast Show, telling listeners that Oasis news was expected today – and describing it as “big news for 2026.”

The speculation follows the conclusion of Oasis’s UK comeback tour, which wrapped over the weekend with two sold-out nights at Wembley Stadium. In total, the band played 17 shows across the country, culminating in a seventh Wembley date on Sunday night.

At present, no future tour dates have been officially confirmed, but rumours are rife that the band are planning something special to mark the 30th anniversary of their historic Maine Road and Knebworth gigs. Talk of shows at the Etihad and Knebworth has been circulating for months, with the Manchester venue confirming its summer 2026 availability earlier this year.

Adding to the frenzy, fans noticed that Take That have already booked the Etihad for their Circus Live Tour in June 2026 – a detail many believe hints that Oasis could be lining up dates there around the same time.

With the Gallagher brothers continuing to drop cryptic hints, Oasis fans are bracing for what could be one of the band’s biggest announcements since their comeback was unveiled.
