Oasis 'set to add five Knebworth dates' to reunion tour for 30th anniversary

Oasis are reportedly planning to add extra dates to their reunion tour at Knebworth.

The Manchester siblings have already made a staggering amount of money from their sold-out tour, which kicked off earlier this summer and is set to span more than 40 stadium dates worldwide.

But, according to reports, they are set to play five dates at Knebworth next year, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the two huge gigs.

According to music insiders, the Knebworth shows could add an £100million to the eye-watering £1.2billion made from the reunion tour.

“Talk about the chance to cash in. After all these years of insisting they won't get back together, now Liam and Noel have got these dates on hold, they have pencilled in five days for the gigs,” a source told the Mail.

“It's all very exciting for fans. Back in 1996, it was so special. It was the pinnacle of Britpop so Oasis returning to Knebworth would just be perfect for the fans.”

The Standard have contacted representatives of Oasis for comment.

It was reported last month Noel and Liam Gallagher were cashing in long before stepping back on stage together with new accounts showing the Oasis frontmen were earning £69,000 a week last year.

Financial filings for Oasis’ company, Big Brother Recordings, reveal that the band raked in £3.6 million in the 12 months to December 31, 2024 before their comeback was even announced.

The figures push total assets at the firm, which manages publishing revenues and other music earnings, to more than £10.2 million.

The bumper profits were boosted by the 30th anniversary reissue of the band’s debut album Definitely Maybe, which topped the UK charts last August.

Following confirmation of the reunion a year ago this week, Oasis’ back catalogue also surged in popularity. Compilation Time Flies and their 1995 classic (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? both re-entered the Top Five, while singles Live Forever reached a new peak at No8, Don’t Look Back in Anger climbed to No9, and Wonderwall returned at No11.

With the reunion now in full swing, the Gallaghers’ income for 2025 is expected to dwarf last year’s numbers.

As well as ticket sales, the Britpop icons have cashed in on merchandise, with vintage-style T-shirts and hoodies seen on fans across festival fields and city high streets.
