Wembley has witnessed the return of Oasis as Liam and Noel Gallagher played together live in London for the first time in 16 years. The eighth show of the Live ‘25 tour comes after the band’s triumphant return in Cardiff and hometown appearances in Manchester.
Their comeback show at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on July 4 was followed by a second night in the Welsh capital. Five dates at Heaton Park in Manchester culminated last weekend, and the band have stuck to the same set list throughout the Live ‘25 tour so far.
Walking on stage to playback of their fourth studio album’s opener, F***in’ in the Bushes, the first song fans heard the band play live together was Hello, with the fitting lyrics: “It’s good to be back.”
The majority of the songs on the set come from the band’s first two studio albums, as well as their renowned B sides from the same era. Just two songs feature from third album Be Here Now, while 2002 single Little by Little — from fifth album, Heathen Chemistry — is the latest they go into their back catalogue.
That comes after two other Noel-led songs, the acoustic B-sides Talk Tonight and Half the World Away.
The band have been leaving the stage after playing Rock ‘n’ Roll Star, to return for a four-song encore, ending with the epic Champagne Supernova.
The first night at Wembley has been no different to the rest of the tour, so fans with tickets for Saturday night are likely to hear the familiar set list played again.
