Oasis fans outspend Taylor Swift's with £5 million spree at Wembley gig

Oasis fans have managed to outspend even Taylor Swift’s dedicated following at Wembley, new data has revealed.

As Liam and Noel Gallagher wrap up their UK tour with a final show at the iconic London stadium this Sunday, analysis from Lloyds reveals that Oasis fans have delivered a significant economic boost to the area.

The Britpop rockers’ fans spent £5.1 million during Oasis’ show at Wembley Stadium on July 25, with £1.4 million splashed at the stadium itself and £3.6 million going to nearby pubs and bars in the area.

That figure surpasses the amount of money spent by Swifties or Dua Lipa fans.

Music lovers spent £3.7 million at Swift’s Eras opener on June 21, 2024 and £3.8 million at Lipa’s Radical Optimism show in June 20, 2025, Lloyds’ customer transaction data revealed.

The Oasis reunion triggered a fan-fuelled economic surge that Lloyds has dubbed “Gallaghernomics” – proof that the enduring pull of Oasis outpaced even Swiftonomics.

Restaurants in the area also saw a 116% increase in sales — more than double the uplift seen during Swift (50%) and Lipa’s (51%) concerts.

It wasn’t just where they spent, but who was spending that stood out.

The biggest in-stadium spenders among Oasis fans were men aged 40 to 49 - Oasis’ nostalgic core - who collectively splashed out over £300,000.

By comparison, the top spenders at Swift’s concert were women aged 30 to 39, spending over £113,000. For Lipa it was women aged 40 to 49 who spent nearing £91,000.

Noel and Liam will return to London to play two sold-out shows on September 27 and 28 - just two weeks after playing for crowds in Mexico City.

The Manchester siblings have already made millions from their sold-out reunion tour, which kicked off earlier this summer.

New accounts show the Oasis frontmen were earning £69,000 a week last year before their comeback was even announced.

The profits were boosted by the 30th anniversary reissue of the band’s debut album Definitely Maybe, which topped the UK charts last summer.

As well as tour ticket sales, the music icons have cashed in on merchandise, with vintage-style T-shirts and hoodies seen on fans across festival fields and high streets.

The brothers stunned fans last August when they announced their reunion tour, marking the first time they would be reuniting in 16 years after a long and public feud.

After the London dates, the siblings will perform in Australia in October and November and jet to Chile and Brazil for further shows in November.
