Oakland public school teachers have reached a tentative deal to end their 7-day strike, per the Oakland Education Association and the Oakland Unified School District.
Details: The new contract will be formed so it "provides a total compensation increase of 14% - an 11% on-going salary increase with a one-time 3% bonus for educators," according to the OUSD press release. It also will reduce class sizes.
