O2 is having network issues that mean Brits are unable to access 2G, 3G or 4G services

UPDATE:  O2 says that the issues have now been resolved

It’s one of the most popular mobile networks across the UK, but it seems that O2 is having issues this morning.

According to Down Detector, the issues started at around 10:41 BST, and are affecting users across the UK.

Of those who reported issues, 74% said they were having problems with their mobile phone, 13% with the network, and 11% with mobile internet.

Speaking to Mirror Online, an O2 spokesperson said: "The earlier issue we experienced where some customers may have had difficulty using mobile data has now been resolved. Our technical teams are continuing to closely monitor the situation. We apologise for any inconvenience."

Several frustrated users have taken to Twitter to discuss this morning's issues.

One user said: "So o2 is down again and my internet keeps dropping. Brilliant."

Another added: "O2 is down yet again. 2nd day in a row. I don't have a landline, I rely on my mobile and I have medical phone appointments which I NEED to keep as they can't be done face-to-face because of Covid. I've recently renewed my contract. I'm wishing I hadn't."

And one wrote: "O2 your service is down again in London. Happened last week and again today. I need the service for work. Can someone contact me please."
