O'Reilly's OT goal lifts Blues over Avalanche, 4-3

ST. LOUIS _ They finally did it. For the first time since November, the Blues have won two in a row. A blocked shot by Roberto Bortuzzo led to a breakaway short-handed goal by Ryan O'Reilly in overtime for a 4-3 St. Louis victory Friday at Enterprise Center.

The Blues improved to 12-14-4; Colorado fell to 17-9-6.

Colton Parayko's second goal of the night, and seventh of the season, gave the Blues a 3-2 lead with nine minutes left in the game. It was his seventh of the season and came on a shot that deflected in off former Blues defenseman Ian Cole.

It marked only the second time in his career that Parayko has scored two goals in a game.

But just two minutes 10 seconds later, Colorado got the equalizer on a power play rebound goal by J.T. Compher. With Jay Bouwmeester off for hooking, Colorado ended the Blues' streak of 23 consecutive penalty kills.

Ivan Barbashev added a first-period goal for the Blues.

Sven Andrighetto and Matt Calvert scored first-period goals for the Avalanche.
