NZ business confidence hits nine-month high in June - ANZ survey

WELLINGTON (Reuters) - New Zealand business sentiment lifted to a nine-month high in June led by the agricultural sector, an ANZ Bank survey showed on Thursday.

The survey's headline measure showed a net 24.8 percent of respondents expected the economy to improve over the year ahead, compared with a 14.9 percent optimism level in the previous poll.

A net 42.8 percent of respondents expected their own businesses to grow in the next 12 months, from 38.3 percent last month.

Inflation expectations on a 12-month horizon rose to 2.03 percent compared with 2.0 percent in the previous survey.
