The New York Mets series finale against the Miami Marlins was postponed Thursday night due to a positive COVID-19 case on the Mets, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network.
Major League Baseball issued a press release shortly after the news broke.

"Major League Baseball will continue to provide updates as necessary."
One player tested positive, as well as one staff member, according to Tim Healey of NewsDay.

The Mets had been riding high, winning the first three games in Miami as they sought their first four-game sweep since Sept. 9-12, 2019 against the Diamondbacks.
The Marlins were the first MLB team to have a game postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak, when they missed a week of games starting July 27. They had 18 players and two coaches test positive during that outbreak.
