MC Ren, founding member of group NWA, has expressed distaste at the trailer for upcoming biopic Straight Outta Compton.
The film, which tells the story of the seminal rappers and their rise to fame, has upset the artist, real name Lorenzo Patterson, who expressed his unhappiness via Twitter.

It’s believed that the rapper is unhappy with his minimal screen time in the trailer, which features other members far more extensively. Both Dr Dre and Ice Cube are listed as producers.
The film has already garnered some unfortunate press after Suge Knight, the founder of the band’s label, was charged with murder after he was alleged to have deliberately run over two men on the set of a promotional shoot for the film.
While only featuring in a minor role, the Death Row Records founder is shown in a parking lot scene said to closely foreshadow later alleged events.
Last week the widow of Terry Carter, the man killed in the incident, filled a wrongful-death lawsuit naming the label founder and rappers Ice Cube and Dr Dre as defendants.
The film will be released in UK cinemas on 28 August.
