Nutts Corner "controlled burning" sees firefighters scrambled

Two teams of firefighters have been scrambled following reports of a fire near Nutts Corner roundabout in Co Antrim.

Smoke from the fire could seen high above the tree line on nearby roads.

A spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said two fire appliances were rallied this afternoon after "tyres and hedgerows" were set alight in what they described as "controlled burning".

Two crews are at the scene.

A NIFRS spokesperson said the blaze is "under control".
