Nutanix Fiscal Q3 Earnings, Revenue Top Wall Street Targets

Nutanix stock rose in extended trading on Wednesday after the company delivered fiscal third-quarter earnings that topped consensus estimates while July quarter revenue guidance edged by views.

Reported after the market close, Nutanix earnings for the quarter ended April 31 were 42 cents a share on an adjusted basis, up 50% from a year earlier, versus consensus estimates for a 38-cent profit.

The maker of cloud-computing network management software said revenue rose 22% to $639 million, topping views for $626 million in sales.

In fiscal Q3, annual recurring revenue from subscription services rose 18% to $2.14 billion, slightly below views. Wall Street analysts had projected ARR of $2.16 billion.

"The company highlighted that results were driven by continued strength of the cloud platform along with recent announcements around support for external storage, modern applications, and generative AI as the focus remains on innovation and partnerships," said RBC Capital analyst Matthew Hedberg in a report.

For the current quarter ending in July, Nutanix said it expects revenue of $640 million at the midpoint of guidance vs. estimates of $638 million.

Nutanix's software manages network, storage and server infrastructure in cloud-computing platforms. Nutanix competes against Broadcom's VMware unit, startup Scale Computing, and others.

On the stock market today, Nutanix stock rose a fraction to 79.20 in extended trading. Heading into the Nutanix earnings report, shares had advanced 29% in 2025.

Further, Nutanix stock holds an entry point of 79.99, according to MarketSurge.

Meanwhile, Nutanix stock holds a Composite Rating of 88 out of a best-possible 99, according to IBD Stock Checkup.

Also, Nutanix has transitioned to a software subscription business model from selling hardware appliances.
