Nut butter distributed to Walmart recalled over potential salmonella contamination

• A nut butter distributed to Walmart stores across 19 states is being recalled due to potential salmonella contamination, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has said.
• Boticelli Foods is recalling a lot of bettergoods Pistachio Nut Butter 6.7oz. The product details are as follows: UPC 194346207961, Lot LB028ACP04, expiration date January 28, 2027.
• According to the FDA, the nut butter was distributed in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Tennessee, Washington and Wyoming.
• The administration has not received any reports of illness or injury connected to the product, however customers are advised “not to consume the product and to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.”
• It added: “The recall was initiated after Walmart learned on July 17, 2026 that the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (“FDACS”) had, as part of a routine inspection, tested three jars of the product at a Walmart retail store and identified the presence of Salmonella.”
