A number of nurses from a care home leaped into action to help a woman and kids who were hit by a van.
Merseyside Police were called to Westminster Road in Kirkdale at around 8.50am on Thursday, December 8. Once they arrived at the scene they found a white van was involved in a crash with a woman in her 20s and five children.
The woman and two children, aged seven and four, were taken to hospital with minor injuries after being hit by the van. The three other people, under the age of 18, were uninjured.

The two children have since been released from hospital, with the woman in her 20s remaining there for observation. The driver stopped at the scene and is helping police with enquiries.
A spokesperson from Merseyside Police confirmed to The ECHO nobody has been arrested in connection with this incident. A cordon was put in place on Westminster Road and Rumney Road, while police carried out investigations.
Before the majority of the emergency services arrived at the scene, a number of nurses from the nearby Kavanagh Place Complex Needs Care Home ran over to those who were injured to help. Eyewitnesses reported seeing the nurses giving medical attention to people in the road.
Kiri Houghton, home manager at the Kavanagh Place Complex Needs Care Home, said: “Our nurses offered support following a traffic incident near our Kavanagh Place Complex Needs Care Home this morning. We are thinking of those involved and wish them a quick recovery, and will continue to help the authorities with their investigation.”
Merseyside Police are appealing for any witnesses, CCTV and dash camera footage which may assist their investigation into this incident.
