Nurse-murder suspect arrested

AYUTTHAYA: A 48-year-old man was apprehended on Monday for the alleged murder of a nurse whose body was found in her car in Pachi district on Sunday.

Pol Col Theerawut Saengmanee, the Pachi police chief, said Un Fugsiri was arrested at Wat Lat Chid in Phak Hai district  and was being interrogated about the murder of Srisupang Suwansilp, 48.

Police tracked him down from a CCTV recording showing him getting out of the victim's car about 1am on Sunday.

The suspect used to work at Pachi Hospital in Pachi district and was a friend of the slain nurse before he resigned to work for another company in Nong Khae district, Saraburi, Pol Col Theerawut said.

Srisupang's body was found in her car, which was parked near rental housing opposite the hospital.
