
AYUTTHAYA: A female nurse was found dead in her car near Phachi Hospital in Phachi district of this Central province on Sunday morning, according to Pol Col Teerawut Saengmanee, the Phachi police chief.
He said the body was of Srisupang Suwansilp, 48, alias Khun Keng, a nurse of Phachi Hospital. She had been slashed in the throat with a sharp object and believed to have died about five hours previously.
The body was in the nurse's Toyota Altis, found on the driveway of a rental house on Suwannasorn road, opposite Phachi Hospital.
CCTV footage showed the car was driven to the spot by an unidentified man in a white shirt. The man got off the car and walked away.
Pattana Uamthes, Srisupang's husband and a factory engineer, told police that they had been happily married for 14 years. At 4pm on Saturday, he said, she drove away from their home in tambon Rasom in her nurse's uniform, headed for the hospital where she was to be on duty until midnight.
Her colleagues confirmed that Srisupang left the hospital after ending her night shift -- but she never made it home.. On Sunday morning, Mr Pattana and her relatives set out in search of her, and found her body in the abandoned car.
Police were investigating.
