A short video of a group of nuns enjoying a game of football on a Cork beach has gone viral after the brilliant scenes over the weekend.
Cork Beo reports that the group were from the Convent of the Missionaries in Blarney and were enjoying a day trip to Youghal in East Cork.
And with Ireland basking in temperatures of 24C on Saturday and 22C on Sunday, it seems like the nuns decided to enjoy it in their own unique way.
They set up goalposts on the strand and took on some friends and local ballers.
Local woman Caroline Cooper said that many visitors and locals were delighted to see the nuns enjoying themselves on the on the Blue Flag beach that's been drawing many new fans since the Youghal Boardwalk opened.
"It was lovely to see, the nuns were really enjoying themselves and people were clapping and cheering," said Caroline.
"I was talking to them and they said they were all going for fish and chips afterwards in the town, a real day out at the beach," she added.
Caroline said there's a renewed sense of pride in Youghal with recent developments such as the boardwalk, the new town library and the greenway which will link Youghal to Midleton along 23kms of old railway line.
"It's great to see all the changes now, with the boardwalk and the beach so busy in the good weather," she said.
Caroline got a short video of the nuns enjoying themselves - which has proved to be a huge hit on Facebook, being shared thousands of times since it went up.
