According to the Catholic Church in England and Wales, the number of women who have taken holy vows has trebled over the last five years.
Nuns and sisters (yes there is a difference) are traditionally known for only being Catholic (the Anglican order the Community of St John the Divine have become well-know due to Call the Midwife), wearing habits and often invoke memories of school days. But now we’d like to hear from the professed themselves.
Why did you choose to enter the religious life? What did you do before? Perhaps you tried your vocation and found it wasn’t for you. Wherever you are in the world, whether you’re enclosed or part of an active order we’d like to hear from you. We’d also love to see your photos and videos if you have any.
