Under-fire Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo has promised fans that his players will do all they can to make them feel good again.
Spurs got off to a perfect start under the former Wolves boss, winning his first three Premier League games after being named as Jose Mourinho’s permanent successor.
But that early season form has now completely deserted them with three straight defeats culminating in their north London derby no-show against Arsenal.
Tottenham were limp and lifeless at the Emirates as the Gunners thumped them 3-1, with the manager coming in for heavy criticism.
Nuno took responsibility for the defeat, claiming he made mistakes that contributed to the dreadful performance.
On Monday, the Tottenham Hotspur Supporter Trust (THST) demanded a meeting with chairman Daniel Levy to discuss the direction of the club both on and off the pitch.
Nuno’s appointment came after a winding recruitment process which saw several candidates offered the job before him.
A THST statement read: "Over the past few weeks, we've been contacted by an increasing number of trust members and the wider fan base who are extremely concerned about the current direction of THFC.
"We have asked for a meeting with the club's executive board to discuss both the short and long-term strategic vision for the football club.
"This (potential) meeting, therefore, is an opportunity for the decision-makers at THFC to explain their plans to supporters.
"This explanation should include plans for this season and beyond, an explanation of how success will be measured and how the club's DNA will be regained."
Tottenham will be expected to put on a show on Europa Conference League minnows NS Mura on Thursday and Nuno has assured fans that now is the time for the team to repay their faith.
“I’m not worried about the judgements,” he told Football.London. “What I’m worried about is how we can play better. How can we play better? The judgement, and the criticism, and the opinion and all of that is all part of it and we have to deal with that, we have to deal with that.
“That doesn’t interfere with the way we work, it can only distract us. I’m very simple, telling you: my focus is how can we improve, how can we improve. In terms of the fans, now is not the moment to ask them.
“Of course we need their support, because the players and the team needs the support of the fans.
“But it's not the moment to ask them, it’s the moment to deliver. Now we have to give them, so they feel again good with the team. They see a team that is solid and is playing good, and things go back to normal.”
