Nuno Espirito Santo's stance on Dele Alli and Harry Winks amid Newcastle links

Nuno Espirito Santo has kept his cards close to his chest when asked about Dele Alli and Harry Winks' future at Tottenham.

During his press conference with Football London, the Spurs boss said "there was nothing to be worried about" for either player, despite speculation linking them with a move to Tyneside in recent weeks.

The Magpies recent takeover has seen them linked with just about every available player there is and speculation will remain rife until the end of the January transfer window.

Newcastle are still on the hunt for a new manager after Steve Bruce left the club by mutual consent last week.

There's been a whole host of names linked with the vacant managerial position and with that, has seen a flurry of big name players also linked with a move to Tyneside.

Among those names, have been Spurs outcasts and England international's - Alli and Winks.

The duo have struggled for game times in recent seasons, after Mauricio Pochettino's departure from White Hart Lane.

The pair found life difficult under Jose Mourinho and have found minutes hard to come by under new boss Espirito Santo.

When asked about whether Winks or Alli would be involved with the matchday squad this weekend, the Spurs boss said: "We are working with all the players.

"We still have the training session then we will decide the squad for the match of tomorrow.

"They are our players, they are here with us. There's nothing to be worried about.

"It's a situation that we have to work, we have to improve all the players, build momentum on the performance of the players.

"This is what is a squad. Making decisions, taking advantage of the moment, the talent, what we want for the game.

"All the players we count."
