The battle to become Spain no.1 at next summer's European Championships has taken yet another twist.
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has regained his place in between the sticks from Chelsea's Kepa Arrizabalaga for this evening's Euro 2020 qualifier against Sweden.
It would appear that the Blues stopper has paid the ultimate price for his mistake which cost La Roja all three points at the weekend.
Deep into injury time Spain were leading 1-0 away at Norway thanks to Saul Niguez's goal early in the second half.
However, Kepa made a rash decision to come off his line and concede a penalty by completely wiping out Omar Elabdellaoui as the two contested a high ball.
Josh King stepped up to equalise and that error has handed de Gea his chance to stake a claim for the no.1 jersey.
The Red Devils keeper had dropped down the pecking order at international following an unconvincing 2018 World Cup as well as a dip in form for his club.
However, now is his chance to prove he's back to his best.
And that could be bad news for Kepa.
With de Gea starting, this has prompted some Man United fans on Twitter to hail him as Spain's undisputed number one and taunt Chelsea supporters in the process.
Take a look at some of the reactions...
