The forthcoming Liverpool City Council elections will be contested on May 6, 2021 and a total of 31 ward seats are up for grabs.
The last time these specific ward seats were contested was in 2016, but there have been by-elections in certain wards after 2016.
All 30 wards in the city will have one of its three ward seats contested, apart from the Croxteth ward which has two seats due to be fought for after one councillor resigned several weeks ago.
The other available ward seat in Croxteth - and the other 29 ward seats in the city - are part of the normal four year cycle of council elections that take place in the city.
These forthcoming local elections would have been run last year, but the Covid pandemic saw them postponed until this year.
Below are the parties and candidates standing in the elections and the calculated swing needed to see a different party take the seat from the current party that holds it.
