'Number one for a reason!' - Chelsea fans taunt David de Gea as Kepa makes Spain no.1 case

Kepa Arrizabalaga has proven he should be Spain's undisputed no.1 goalkeeper.

That's the view of some Chelsea supporters on social media as the 24-year-old pulled off a stunning save to ensure 10-man La Roja beat Romania in their Euro 2020 qualifier.

The Blues stopper was given the nod over Manchester United's David de Gea, although Spain coach Robert Moreno has said that he plans to rotate between the two superb keepers.

"If the goalkeepers are at the level that they have shown up to now, it's possible to alternate them," Moreno told reporters . "I don't believe that in a national team it's crucial that the same goalkeeper plays all the games."

But has Kepa's save put in him in pole position?

In the summer he did warn his rival by insisting he plans to be Spain's first-choice in between the sticks in the foreseeable future leading up to next summer's European Championships.

"I'm going to continue working as I have until now, doing my best at my club to keep the confidence of the coach,"  Kepa told Marca

"Whoever plays will do very well. Of course I understand that David is sad, we all train to play and then it is the decision of the coach, and it is up to you to respond well."

Take a look at the stunning save below.

This has prompted some Chelsea fans on Twitter to hail Kepa as Spain's best keeper...
