Number of pedestrians rushed to hospital after Bearsden road crash

A number of pedestrians have been rushed to hospital after a road crash in Bearsden.

Police confirmed the incident which took place on Manse Road late afternoon on Boxing Day, which resulted in both police and ambulance services racing to the scene.

The condition of those injured could not be confirmed at this stage.

Police remain at the scene as they launch an investigation following the crash.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told Glasgow Live: "About 4.55pm on Thursday December 26, 2019, a report was received that a road traffic collision had taken place on Manse Road, Bearsden.

"Police and ambulance attended and it was established that a number of pedestrians had been injured as a result of the incident.

"They have been taken to hospitals in the Greater Glasgow area. There is no update on their injuries meantime.

"Officers are at the scene and an investigation into the circumstances is underway."
