Eight migrants have been found on a ship in Waterford.
The discovery was made this evening by the crew on a bulk cargo ship travelling to Ireland from France.
Members of the immigration unit were called in to Belview Port, where the migrants are currently being processed under immigration law.
All eight are believed to be adult men from Eastern Europe.

A garda spokeswoman said: "Garda Immigration Officers attached to Waterford Garda Station are currently dealing with the males and they will be processed under the immigration law.
"An Garda Síochána continue to investigate all the circumstances of this incident.
"No further comment at this time. No spokesperson available at this time."
