The number of people injured in the car crash during Liverpool’s Premiere League title parade has risen to 109, police have revealed.
Four people remain in hospital a week after the incident in Water Street, Merseyside Police said in an update on Monday.
Detective Superintendent Rachel Wilson said: “This is a complex and constantly evolving investigation and we are still working through and assessing those reporting being injured and our enquiries remain ongoing.
“I would like to thank everyone who has been in touch with us so far to give witness accounts or supply information or video footage. The response so far has been of great assistance in progressing the investigation.
“We have had more than 500 submissions to the Major Incident Police Portal (MIPP) and a team of detectives are currently working through the information provided.
“I would continue to appeal for anyone who has information and is yet to come forward to please get in touch as a matter of urgency.”
A trial date has been set for the alleged driver of the car that ploughed into the crowd of fans.
Paul Doyle, 53, from Croxteth, Liverpool, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday afternoon charged with seven offences following the incident.
The father-of-three is accused of two counts of wounding with intent, two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, two counts of attempted grievous bodily harm with intent and one count of dangerous driving.
The charges relate to six victims, including two children aged 11 and 17.
Earlier on Friday, the city’s magistrates' court heard he was alleged to have "used his vehicle deliberately as a weapon".
Doyle made no indications of pleas after the charges were read to the court.
Recorder of Liverpool Judge Andrew Menary fixed a provisional trial date for November 24 and said the case was expected to last three to four weeks.
