NTA 2023: Northern Irish talents recognised at National Television Awards 2023

A number of big names in the Northern Irish film and TV industry have been recognised for this year's National Television Awards.

The NTAs are the most prominent ceremony for the industry in which the results are voted on by the general public, and are often branded as 'television's biggest night of the year'.

This year's ceremony will be hosted by presenter Joel Dommett and will take place at the O2 in London on Tuesday, September 5 2023.

Voting is now open for the first of voting across 16 precious categories which will be narrowed down to the final shortlist in August ahead of the big event.

With the film and TV industry here in NI continuing to grow from strength to strenth, it is unsurprising that a number of local faces and shows have been named in the running for the NTAs 2023.

Annie Conlon (Katherine Devlin), Grace Ellis (Siân Brooke) and Tommy Foster (Nathan Braniff) (BBC Pictures)

Here are the Northern Irish talents shortlisted for this year's awards:

  • Blue Lights - Best New Drama
  • Adrian Dunbar - Best Drama Performance - Ridley
