NT Police investigating after woman found dead at bush camp in Darwin suburb of Karama

Police say the woman was unable to be revived. (ABC News: Hamish Harty)

Police are investigating the death of a woman in her 40s at a bush camp in the Darwin suburb of Karama early this morning, and say they have not ruled out foul play.

Northern Territory Police said a police vehicle was flagged down on Vanderlin Drive just after 12.30am by a man seeking assistance for the woman.

Police administered CPR on the woman before St John Ambulance NT paramedics attended a short time later.

However, the woman could not be revived, and was pronounced dead when paramedics arrived.

NT Police Detective Senior Sergeant Jakson Evans said police were yet to determine how the woman had died, and asked the public to report any information that could assist.

"It is too early in the investigation to say whether or not there was any foul play involved, and we are treating the death as suspicious until it is determined otherwise," he said.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact police on 131 444.
