NT Police charge 39-year-old man with murder after death at Alice Springs home

Two men were charged after a fight at a home in Gillen, one of the central suburbs in Alice Springs.

A 39-year-old Alice Springs man has been charged with murder after a 36-year-old man was killed at an Alice Springs home on Friday morning.

Serious Crime Squad detectives have also charged a 40-year-old male with accessory after the fact to murder, incitement to commit a crime and engaging in violent conduct in relation to the same incident.

Police were called out to an Alice Springs home in the suburb of Gillen at about 2:30am on Friday morning following reports of more than a dozen people "fighting with weapons".

On Friday, police arrested a 39-year-old man and a 40-year-old man following the fatal incident.

Both males have been remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear before Alice Springs Local Court on Tuesday, June 9.
