Northern Territory Chief Minister Michael Gunner has called a COVID-19 related press conference at short notice, with a lockdown announcement on the cards.
The press conference scheduled for 10.30am on Monday follows an emergency meeting of the territory's special COVID-19 management team.
The territory's chief health officer and police commissioner will be at the conference.
It's understood Darwin and other parts of the Top End could be locked down from noon on Monday for five days.
The virus concerns are understood to be related to a traveller from the US.
