The Northern Territory is on track to have half of its population fully vaccinated in the next few days.
Almost 220,000 doses have been administered in the NT and 67 per cent of residents have received their first dose while 48 per cent are already fully vaccinated.
The coronavirus vaccine rollout in remote areas mostly populated by Indigenous Australians is also going well, the government said.
Some 54 per cent of remote Territorians have received one dose and 34 per cent are fully vaccinated.
"The territory has led the nation by recovering the fastest," Chief Minister Michael Gunner said on Monday.
"We have led the nation with the best quarantine system. And we are leading the nation with the vaccine rollout."
Since the COVID-19 pandemic began last year, the NT -which has a population of around 250,000 - has had 203 confirmed cases and no deaths.
It currently has no locally acquired cases.
