NSW records another 2482 cases of COVID-19

New South Wales recorded 2482 cases of coronavirus in the 24 hours to 8pm Friday.

More than 137,000 tests were conducted in the report period, in which one person died with the virus.

The are 206 people in hospital with the virus and 26 in intensive care.

Despite having recorded more than 2000 cases for a second consecutive day, intensive care patient numbers increased by only two from Friday.

NSW Health has listed updated vaccination rates at:

  • 94.9% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
  • 93.3% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
  • 81.4% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
  • 78% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
