COVID-19 cases in NSW continue to drop as the state records another 319 locally acquired infections and two deaths.
The two deaths were a man in his 60s from Sydney's inner west and a woman in her 90s from south-eastern Sydney. The man died at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He had received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. The woman died at St George Hospital. She was not vaccinated.
In the Saturday health update, NSW Health said 91.7 per cent of the population aged 16 plus have had one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 78.8 per cent are fully vaccinated.
It comes after 399 cases were reported the day before.
Currently 652 people are in hospital with the virus and 138 of those are in ICU.
There were two new overseas acquired cases.
While case numbers have dropped, so have testing rates. There were 66,311 COVID tests conducted in the 24 hour reporting period.
A full breakdown of the numbers is expected at 11am.
The update comes after new rulings announced on Friday regarding regional travel from Sydney being pushed back to November 1 and hotel quarantine requirements scrapped for international travel.
