NSW men charged: child abuse, bestiality

Two NSW men will face court charged with disseminating child abuse and bestiality material. (AAP)

Two NSW men have been charged with disseminating child abuse and bestiality material.

The two men, aged 61 and 76, were arrested on Thursday in Leeton in the Riverina region in the state's southwest.

Police will argue in court they were involved in the online distribution of child abuse and bestiality material.

The arrests follow a police investigation prompted by information relating to the alleged production and dissemination of child abuse material in the Leeton area.

They were both charged with three counts of disseminating child abuse material, and face other charges of bestiality and animal cruelty.

Police executed a search warrant at a Leeton home where they seized electronic devices and a dog, which police allege was abused.

The animal is in the care of the RSPCA.

The two men were refused bail to appear in Griffith Local Court on Thursday.
