NSW man charged with making weapons

A NSW man has been charged with a string of offences after police seized a vast array of homemade firearms, explosives and cannabis seeds from his property.

Officers from the Orana region say they found cache of prohibited items when they searched the home of a Wellington man on September 29.

Explosives, ammunition, firearm parts, a homemade stun gun, expandable baton, cannabis seeds and a replica pistol were seized during the search.

Police also seized items involved in the creation of the homemade weapons from the property near Dubbo.

The 34-year-old was charged with 10 offences, including manufacturing a firearm, manufacturing a prohibited weapon and possessing explosives.

The man was granted conditional bail in Dubbo Local Court on September 30 and will appear before Wellington Local Court on October 20.
