NSW Hunter drug dealing ring busted

Police have arrested 15 people and seized drugs, weapons and cash in the NSW Hunter Region. (AAP)

Fifteen people have been charged after police busted an alleged drug-dealing network in the NSW Hunter Region.

Police say they seized methylamphetamine, cocaine, cannabis, about $100,000 in cash, replica firearms and knives after raiding five properties on Tuesday.

Detectives from Lake Macquarie Police District have been investigating the supply of prohibited drugs, mainly ice, in Morisset and other areas on Lake Macquarie's western side since May.

Detectives from Strike Force Loxton had already charged 11 people with drug or firearm offences. A further four suspects were arrested on Tuesday.

A 39-year-old man was refused bail after being arrested at a commercial premises in Dora Creek and charged with supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, dealing with the proceed of crime, and possessing a prohibited weapon. He will appear at Toronto Local Court on Wednesday.

A 36-year-old man was arrested at Kingfisher Shores and a 39-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man were arrested at a Wyee property on Tuesday. All three were taken to Toronto Police Station, charged with drug or weapon offences, and granted conditional bail. They will appear at Toronto Local Court on January 19.
