A Sydney police officer accused of raping a 19-year-old woman will face a District Court trial in July.

Detective Senior Constable Glen Coleman was arraigned in Penrith District Court on Friday, where he pleaded not guilty to 10 charges.

He denied three counts of sexual intercourse without consent, six of sexual touching without consent, and one of misconduct in public office.

The misconduct charge alleges he used his position of detective senior constable to engage in sexual contact with the 19-year-old woman.

The alleged offences were said to have taken place between February and May 2022.

The then 55-year-old detective was arrested on May 20, when police said he was attached to a specialist command.

Officers attached to the Professional Standards Command were involved in the investigation into reports of the alleged sexual assault.

Judge Sophia Beckett listed his trial to start on July 31 at Penrith District Court and continued his bail.

At the time of his arrest, police said Coleman had been stood down from duties while his employment status was under review.
