Close contacts connected to COVID-19 cases have spread outside of the Greater Sydney area, being identified more than five hours north of the city.

A bottle shop and bar at Coffs Harbour has become the latest venue added to the exposure sites list after a positive case visited the store for 15 minutes.

Anyone who was at The Hoey Moey on Thursday, July 15  between 3:55pm and 4:10pm is now required to get tested and isolate for the full 14 days.

The latest close contact venues span more than 540 kilometres of the state, with a petrol station in Padstow and a supermarket in Fairfield also added.
