As attention focuses on the Hunter and Upper Hunter region, the University of Newcastle's International House has been added to NSW Health's list of COVID-19 exposure sites.

Anyone who was at the venue from July 28 until August 7 has been identified as a close contact and is advised to get tested and isolate for 14 days.

Also on the close contact list is the Terry White Pharmacy in Penrith, Barber Industries in Kotara and the Nextra Newsagency in Charlestown.

Earlier, the XPT regional train service from Broadmeadow to Armidale via Werris Creek was also listed as a close contact venue.

Woolworths in North Strathfield, the Fresh Farm Markets in Mt Druitt and Woolworths Granville were among the venues added to the casual contact list.
