Essential workers continue to bear the brunt of COVID-19 infections as workplaces are added to the growing exposure sites list.

A greengrocer — World of Fruit in Campsie, in Sydney's south-west — has been deemed a close contact site after a worker attended the store for seven days in a row.

Anyone who visited the store on the corner of Beamish Street on Monday, July 19 until Sunday, July 25 will need to isolate for the full 14 days, regardless of a negative test result.

The store has taken to social media to donate the fruits and vegetables in stock while cleaning and isolation are carried out.

"Making the decision to close last week was a difficult position to be in financially, however, we had a more paramount responsibility to protect our staff and the greater community," they said in a Facebook post.

More than 100 casual contact venues were also added to the list, including a neighbouring Woolworths shopping centre in Campsie and another Woolworths in Bankstown.

Casual contacts must isolate until they receive a negative result.
