NSW Health says there are now about 7,000 close contacts linked to Sydney's COVID-19 outbreak.

New alerts were issued for a host of venues in Burwood, Merrylands and Auburn.

Since the outset of the latest outbreak, there have been 48 cases linked to a party in West Hoxton, 45 cases linked to a Bondi Beach cafe, and 19 cases linked to the Crossways Hotel in Strathfield South.

Venues now on the list include a Merrylands Kmart, in western Sydney, an Indian restaurant in Burwood Westfield and a neighbourhood store in Auburn.
