NSW childcare arrest over assault of boy

A childcare teacher has been charged over the alleged assault of a boy at a Sydney centre. (AAP)

A childcare teacher has been charged over the alleged assault of a two-year-old boy on multiple occasions at a Sydney centre.

Between March 11 and 17, police will allege the toddler was assaulted at a childcare centre in Castle Hill.

Detectives arrested a 26-year-old woman at a home in The Ponds on Friday, NSW police said.

She was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and seven counts of common assault.

The woman is on bail and will appear at Parramatta Local Court on April 27.
