NRL player Jack de Belin has pleaded not guilty to five counts of aggravated sexual assault in front of the jurors who will determine his fate in a NSW court.
The St George Illawarra star is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in the company of another man in the bedroom of a North Wollongong unit.
Shell Cove man Callum Sinclair, 22, also faces five charges of aggravated sexual assault over the alleged incident on December 9, 2018.
Both pleaded not guilty to all charges in Wollongong District Court on Monday.
Twelve men and women were later selected from the pool of potential jurors.
Judge Andrew Haesler said the Crown, which would make an opening address on Tuesday, would allege the men acted together to sexually assault the complainant.
The woman, who cannot be identified, was allegedly penetrated in various ways including through penile-vaginal intercourse.
The regular resident of the unit was away at the time of the alleged sexual assault.
Jurors were read a list of more than 50 people to be called as witnesses or potentially mentioned during the weeks-long trial.
Names included Jai Field, Angus Crichton, Adam Clune and the accused men's mothers, Cathy de Belin and Gai Sinclair.
