Warriors get miracle comeback win over Raiders
The Canberra Raiders' nightmare start to 2018 continued, as the New Zealand Warriors pulled off an amazing comeback to clinch a 20-19 win at Canberra Stadium.
The Raiders led 19-12 with four minutes left before Issac Luke went over after a tap penalty. The conversion made it 19-18, then the Warriors held their nerve and Shaun Johnson slotted a field goal with 100 seconds remaining to level the scores at 19-19.
On their next possession the visitors went downfield once more, and Johnson nailed another kick with 30 seconds left to hand the Raiders their third straight loss and give the Warriors a third win to start the season for the first time in their history.
Canberra lost 30-28 to the Titans in round one, and then went down by the same scoreline in round two against Newcastle.
