Bulldogs too strong for struggling Titans
The Canterbury Bulldogs have beaten Gold Coast 26-14 at Robina on Saturday afternoon ending a tumultuous week at the Titans.
Tensions at the club came to a head on Monday with the axing of coach Neil Henry.
Five days later, the Titans had a horror start to trail 20-0 at half-time, but two tries in eight minutes to Tyrone Roberts and Anthony Don early in the second half brought the home side back within 10.
They could not get any closer, however, and a late score to Josh Morris sealed the points for the visitors, although Phillip Sami had an even later consolation try for Gold Coast.
The loss leaves the Titans on 18 points for the season, in 14th place. The Bulldogs stay in 12th despite their ninth win of the season.
