Cowboys leave it late against the Knights
The North Queensland Cowboys have ended their five-match losing streak, with a 20-18 win over the Newcastle Knights in Townsville.
It was the dictionary definition of a game of two halves, with the Knights leading 18-6 at the break and looking good things to rack up a big win.
The second 40 minutes was a totally different story, however, as the visitors struggled to put anything together in attack, while the Cowboys ran in three tries without reply — the last one from Gavin Cooper with less than two minutes on the clock — to take the competition points.
